BICL presenting prominently at upcoming International Cartilage Joint Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society (ICRS) World Congress 2022 in Berlin Germany!

BICL’s MSK leaders Ali Guermazi and Frank Roemer are giving keynote lectures at the upcoming ICRS annual meeting in Berlin held from April 12-15. 

Dr. Guermazi, pioneer of cartilage imaging, will present on “What do we see in Imaging after different Cartilage Procedures?” and “Big Data in Imaging”. Imaging is paramount in assessing structural success of any cartilage repair procedures. Dr. Guermazi will highlight the role of imaging in a pre- and post-procedural setting. AI has been an increasing focus of BICL’s activities in the MSK field with rapid expected growth. 

As one of the key opinion-leaders regarding novel imaging technologies, Dr Roemer will cover the topic of “New Modalities in joint Imaging”. Novel developments of imaging methods are increasingly applied in the clinic and clinical trial arena. These include but are not limited to advances in MRI technology including low- and ultra-high field systems, non-enhanced assessment of inflammation, weight-bearing and photon-counting CT and Nuclear Medicine techniques.
