Nagaraj-Setty Holalkere, MD
Dr. Nagaraj-Setty Holalkere is section chief of Emergency Imaging at Department of Radiology, Boston University Medical Center (BMC), Boston, MA, a large teaching institution affiliated with Boston University. Dr. Holalkere is a board certified Radiologist by the American Board of Radiology and Indian Board of Radiology. He has more than 10 years of experience in radiology since residency graduation with clinical responsibilities including interpretation of plain films, fluoroscopy, CT, including virtual colonoscopy, cardiac CT, MRI, ultrasound of Body imaging and Neuroradiology emergency studies. He has completed a research fellowship (2004-2006) and clinical fellowship (2006-2008) in abdominal imaging and interventional radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Boston, MA. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and 10 book chapters. His various scientific projects have been accepted over 75 times as abstracts and exhibits in leading radiological societies including Radiology Society of North America (RSNA), American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), Society of Abdominal radiology (SAR), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and others. He has received multiple awards including ‘Cum Laude’ and Research trainee prize from RSNA. He has been elected as a Nominee for Clinician Educator Development Program, ARRS in 2010. He has been invited to give guest lectures at regional, national and international meetings and organizations.
Dr. Holalkere is actively involved in various clinical trials as a reviewer including renal, pancreatic lung, colorectal, ovarian, prostate, liver, breast, esophageal cancers, lymphoma and melanoma. He has extensive experience over 5 plus years in tumor response assessment using RECIST 1.0, RECIST 1.1, modified RECIST, volumetric analysis and others.
