Dr. Asim Mian is Assistant Professor of Radiology at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Mian completed his MD at Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is a board certified radiologist with a certificate of added qualification in Neuroradiology. Dr. Mian completed his fellowship in Neuroradiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Asim Mian’s interests include imaging of brain tumors, white matter diseases and Pediatric Neuroradiology. He has authored a number of articles and 1 book chapter focused on Emergency in Neuroradiology.  Dr.Mian has extensive experience in neuro-oncology including imaging of brain, head/neck and spine tumors.  He has extensive experience utilizing RECIST 1.o and 1.1, modified RECIST, RANO, Macdonald and WHO for glioma response.  He initiated and leads the functional MRI (fMRI) program at Boston Medical Center for presurgical planning and epilepsy surgery.  He has extensive experience in stroke and trauma imaging while working at one of the largest trauma and stroke centers in Boston.  He is an co-investigator in multiple NIH funded studies for Alzheimers disease, stroke and traumatic brain injury.  He has participated in several pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials.  He has lectured at regional, national and international conferences.
